    Honoring a longtime friend who grew up to be Auburn’s gift to Broadway, tap-dance icon Tommy Tune will bring the Great White Way to town for two spectacular evenings. Tune's high-energy revue, featuring song-dance-instrumental trio The Manhattan Rhythm Kings, will perform two shows at Cayuga Community College to help fund a new scholarship named for Thommie Walsh.

    Pianist George Winston is back on the Auburn Public Theater calendar, witih a Main Stage appearance set for March 28, 2012. Winston delivers a musical range from stride to jazz to rock and R&B. His albums include Night Divides the Day covering Jim Morrison and The Doors, and Linus & Lucy, devoted to the Peanuts tunes of Vince Guaraldi. And his signature “folk piano” style paints melodic portraits of the landscapes and seasons of his beloved Montana.
