Aspiring comics study stand-up at Auburn Public Studio
Carey Eidel, executive director of the Auburn Public Theater, knows a lot goes into a good standup comedy routine.
Composing a good act is no different than writing a piece of music, a poem or even a newspaper article, he said. Everything, from posture to punchline, needs to be well-thought-out to produce the desired effect.
That effect? Laughter.
Auburn Public Studio to Offer Summer Musical Theater Camp for Youth

The new educational arm of Auburn Public Theater, Auburn Public Studio will offer a four-‐week Summer Theater Camp for young people ages 6-‐18. Campers will explore the foundations of musical theater training, strengthening their acting, singing and dancing skills all while experiencing the excitement of performing in a full-‐fledged production. Through this camp, students will learn how to interact with fellow actors on stage, project their voice and embody character and story. Interested campers can also gain experience with lighting, sound, costumes, make-‐up and set design.

Auburn Public Studio: APT opens new space for dance, music and theater classes
