Comic Jeff Dye comes to Auburn Public Theater Saturday, and he's ready for any kind of reception.
Dye, the host of MTV's "Money From Strangers" and "Girl Code" shows, also made it to the finals of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2008.
I talked to the Seattle native about his hosting gigs, his comedic style and his most memorable crowd experiences:

A Feb. 28 showcase of local high school musicians isn't a battle of the bands. It's a building of them.
Your Music Here has lined up between seven and nine musicians of all rock and pop persuasions from Auburn, Weedsport, Port Byron and elsewhere in the area — all young and hungry for an audience.

As an outsider who recently came here on business to visit the fine city of Auburn this past December, I would like to offer a fresh perspective on something you may not know about here in this great community.
I had the opportunity to play guitar and sing at the Auburn Public Theater’s Open Mic Night, which occurs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday nights during parts of the year.
It is remarkable.

Hilarious in 'Pink': Female comic foursome comes to Auburn Public Theater Feb. 8
New York City wasn't crowded enough for Kaytlin Bailey. But a Toyota Corolla with three other women would do just fine.
So in 2012 Bailey founded the Pink Collar Comedy Tour, featuring herself along with fellow New York-based comedians Abbi Crutchfield, Carrie Gravenson and Erin Judge. The tour's name refers to the shared experience all four bring to their show: bad jobs typically held by women.

GREG GUY - The Citizen
I love surprises. I especially enjoy surprising people in a public setting, directing unexpected attention toward individuals who normally shun the limelight but are suddenly forced to bask in its glow.
Such was the case at Options for Independence’s annual Awards Luncheon, held Sept. 26 at the Auburn Holiday Inn...
